About Western Ventura County Employer Advisory Council (WVCEAC)
The Western Ventura County Employer Advisory Council (WVCEAC) is an independent, non-profit, volunteer-led organization dedicated to supporting local businesses in Western Ventura County. In collaboration with the California Employment Development Department (EDD), WVCEAC helps employers stay informed, compliant, and connected through ongoing education and partnership.
Mission & Vision
Educational Outreach: WVCEAC is committed to helping employers navigate employment-related challenges by offering cost-effective seminars on HR best practices, evolving labor laws, workplace policies, and legal trends.
Partnership with EDD: WVCEAC works closely with EDD to expand awareness of state services available to employers. This relationship ensures that business owners and HR professionals gain direct insight into regulatory updates, workforce resources, and employment compliance strategies.
Governance
WVCEAC is led by a volunteer Board of Directors composed of experienced professionals from across the local business, legal, human resources, and workforce development communities. In partnership with representatives from the California Employment Development Department, the board helps shape relevant programming and ensure the organization’s initiatives meet the needs of local employers.

Event Details & Registration
WVCEAC hosts in-person seminars throughout the year at Ventura Adult and Continuing Education, located at 5200 Valentine Rd, Ventura, CA 93003. These sessions are designed for HR professionals, business owners, and legal teams seeking practical guidance on current employment issues.
Pricing: $40 pre-registration, $45 at the door (includes seminar, lunch, and networking)
