Welcome to the Sonoma County Employer Advisory Council
Sonoma County EAC is a partnership between the California Employment Development Department (EDD) and the business community. The membership represents a cross section of business and industry. The EAC is committed to assisting employers in conducting their business more effectively, providing information on employment related issues, and enhancing the partnership between EDD and the private sector.
Sonoma County is a member of the California Employer Advisory Council (CEAC), which is a nonprofit, statewide umbrella organization for over 50 Employer Advisory Councils throughout the state. The CEAC provides links between employers, EACs, the Employment Development Department and the U.S. Department of Labor. While Sonoma County EAC works with the business community at a local level, the CEAC represents all California EACs at the state level. It tackles state and federal employment issues, communicates with legislative representatives and gains grass root support on legislation.

- Every organization has a legal duty to maintain a workplace free of harassment and retaliation and ensure that every employee is treated with dignity and respect. This is especially true in California, which requires biennial sexual harassment prevention training of supervisors for employers with 50 or more employees. Please join the Sonoma County EAC and Jasmine L. Anderson of Fox Rothschild LLP for this vital, state mandated training. This training complies with state law (AB1825) and AB2053 education in the prevention of “abusive conduct.” Information and practical guidance regarding federal and state statutory provisions and practical examples will be reviewed.
