Marin County EAC serves the community on many levels, from contributions to local human service organizations, to partnering with Marin County Human Services Division/Marin Employment Connection to implement the Workforce Investment Act and respond to employer needs.
In May Marin County EAC gave $1000 to support the Veterans luncheon of the California EAC Conference. This event pays tribute to employers who hire Veterans as employees. The donation provides support to winners of the awards to attend the event who might not otherwise be able to attend luncheon.
In May Marin County EAC gave $1250 to support the Veterans luncheon for the California EAC annual conference. The luncheon honors small and large employers who hire Veterans for their workforce. The money donated enables the winners of the awards to attend the luncheon at no cost.
Marin County EAC donated to three community agencies this year. $1500 was donated to the Marin County Office of Education. They also donated $1000 to the Marin Literacy Program. And $119 was allocated to EDD’s Marin Professionals.

Each year $500 is given to the Marin Employment Connection to purchase Susan Ireland Ready-Made Resume Software. The software includes 70 resume templates used by job seekers in the Career Resource Center. The templates consist of a wide variety of resumes tailored to different occupations.
A donation of $2,000 was given to the Marin Community Clinic, which is a non-profit agency provides quality accessible healthcare for low-income and uninsured Marin County residents.
A donation of $3000 was given February 2005 to Tamalpais School District Adult & Community Education. The funds were used to cover initial costs for facilitator materials and teacher preparation time for the “Customer Service Certificate Program.” The class is geared towards individuals who are currently seeking jobs or desire training to enhance their job performance.
A $2000 stipend was given May 2003 to a local high school student to enroll in the Kaiser Permanente summer Medical Assistant Internship Program.
