President’s Letter - Dissolution of Partnership between EDD and CEAC
California Employer Advisory Council
Dear CEAC Board of Directors, Regional Vice Presidents, and EAC Leaders,
Not long ago, I reached out to you during a moment of profound transition. Following the conclusion of our partnership with the Employment Development Department, we committed to a path of stabilization, modernization, and independent growth. Today, I am incredibly proud to share that thanks to your steadfast dedication, we aren’t just adapting—we are moving forward with incredible momentum, innovating and actively building the future of the California Employer Advisory Council.
We have made good progress on our core strategic pillars, beginning with our governance. The Executive Board has successfully finalized our transitional pathway, reaffirming our core mission with a clear focus on the essential services we deliver statewide.
As we embrace this bold new chapter, our visual identity is also evolving to reflect our growth. I am proud to announce the official launch of our brand-new CEAC logo. Modern, forward-looking, and dynamic, this new design symbolizes our three core pillars—Communicate, Educate, Participate while honoring the enduring strength of our statewide employer network. Updated digital assets, letterheads, and brand guidelines will be distributed to all local councils in August to ensure consistent branding across the state.
Our commitment to modernized infrastructure and enhanced communication is officially live. With our monthly CEAC-wide updates firmly established and our refreshed website soon to be up and running, we have successfully bridged past gaps and expanded our outreach. Furthermore, our newly drafted three-year strategic plan is moving into its final review stage, establishing measurable outcomes to keep us proactive, compliant, and strong. At the local level, our Regional Vice Presidents have concluded highly insightful listening sessions across our regions.
All of this momentum is building toward what promises to be a monumental milestone in our organization’s history. Registration will officially open in August for our CEAC Statewide Conference in Sacramento, taking place April 22, 2027. This event will be a true celebration of our resilience. Under our new brand identity, this premier gathering for more than 40 years will assemble California’s top business minds, legal experts, and employer communities for unparalleled practical learning, strategic networking, and collaborative advocacy. The conference committee is already hard at work curating an exceptional agenda tailored directly to the pressing workforce challenges employers face today.
To keep driving this momentum forward today, we need active leadership across all levels. Regional Vice Presidents should immediately begin distributing the new logo assets to local EACs, ensuring local digital platforms are updated while sparking early conversations and excitement for Sacramento 2027. Meanwhile, all Board Members are asked to review the upcoming conference programming and continue connecting local business leaders to our expanded sponsorship tiers.
When faced with unexpected change, this network chose to stand steady and grow. Because of your leadership, CEAC is more independent, more focused, and more vibrant than ever before. Thank you for your continued service and dedication to California’s employer community.
With deepest appreciation,
Tisha Snyder
President, California Employer Advisory Council
