Sacramento EAC – Untrained Supervisors – The Employer’s Achilles Heel: Training Supervisors To Promote A Positive and Legally Compliant Workplace

Date / Time
Tuesday, December 6, 2016

Sacramento State Alumni Center
6000 J Street
Sacramento, CA 95819

Back by popular demand is SEAC's workshop for supervisors!  While senior-level management sets the tone and policies for an employer's workplace, it is an employer's mid-level management and front-line supervisors who  have the greatest impact on the overall work environment.  A properly trained front-line supervisor has the ability to identify and address problems in the workplace, and limit the likelihood that an employer will face a claim.  In contrast, an untrained supervisor can create claims for an employer.  Please join SEAC for a workshop designed to help supervisors gain knowledge that will help them create a positive work environment and reduce the likelihood of claims against the employer.  SEAC's expert trainers will help supervisors understand the legal obligations relating to discipline and termination and the role that their documentation plays in that process, understand how their actions can reduce the risk of a claim for retaliation or wrongful termination, and strategies the supervisors can use for effectively communicating with employees regarding job performance and conflict resolution.  In addition to these important topics, SEAC will be offering AB 1825 training for supervisors who are due for training.

*5.25 HRCI General Credits Approved
