Speakers
Connie Anderson has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from California State University, Sacramento, and has almost 30 years of experience working for the State Disability Insurance (SDI) program at the Employment Development Department. She’s worked in several roles, including subject matter expert for the Voluntary Plan program, and participated in the development and testing for SDI Online, the EDD’s online claim processing system. Anderson works as an Outreach Analyst with the Paid Family Leave Outreach Unit, where she educates the public about State Disability Insurance, which includes Disability Insurance and Paid Family Leave.
Kathryn Davis has a Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Northridge, and has over eight years of experience working for State Disability Insurance at the Employment Development Department. As a Program Representative, she served as a Claims Examiner and Field Office Trainer, providing all new hire training and office refresher training. She participated in several projects and workgroups, including supporting the Disability Insurance Branch’s Strategic Business Plan by developing a formalized method for cross-training and rotational assignments branch-wide. Currently, working as an Outreach Analyst with the Education and Outreach Unit, Davis provides public education and awareness of the State Disability Insurance Program -- which includes Disability Insurance and Paid Family Leave--to California workers, employers, and medical providers while supporting various projects, including implementation of Senate Bill 1123: Paid Family Leave - Military Exigency, and Assembly Bill 434: Web Content Accessibility Standards.
