During this lecture, Danielle Moore will discuss recent trends and examples of accommodating disabilities including which laws apply, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the ADA Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA), and the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA). She will cover what are considered “reasonable” accommodations and how far an employer’s obligations extend. Danielle will also provide practical advice and let employers know what they can potentially expect and how to navigate difficult situations, including how to determine “when is enough, enough?” and when and how an employer can safely end the accommodation process and/or terminate a disabled employee?

Danielle Moore is a partner at Fisher & Phillips LLP. She counsels employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including discrimination, wrongful termination, harassment, retaliation, and wage-hour class action lawsuits, as well as preparation of employment handbooks and personnel policies, and general preventive advice including hiring, discipline, and termination practices. Danielle has experience litigating matters in state and federal courts, state administrative tribunals, and in arbitration.
