Hello, Employer Advisory Council (EAC) coordinators.
Across the state, all of you have embraced a role serving one of our primary stakeholders: the California employer community. And as the Employment Development Department’s California Employer Advisory Council (CEAC) coordinator, I am honored to work with you, and provide any assistance I can.
We have launched, “News from the CEAC Coordinator,” a monthly message to provide you with tips for producing EAC seminar materials, updates to EAC marketing policy, and CEAC information. It will also be an avenue for you to share EAC success stories with your fellow coordinators. Did you put on an event that attracted 1,000 people? Have your EAC membership numbers skyrocketed? Let your fellow coordinators know how you and your EAC did it. Do you have any EAC-related questions? Send them to me and I’ll provide an answer in this monthly message. Odds are, other coordinators have the same questions.
A couple items of note: We will soon be launching a new look and feel for all EAC seminar materials. A look that reflects more clean and modern design elements. The CEAC handbook has also been revised. We hope to launch these items before the end of summer. Stay tuned. And if you haven’t done so already, bookmark the Marketing and Constituent Serves EDDNet page. On it, you will find a number of resources that can help you.
Do not use the ampersand (&) in your writing unless it is part of a formal name; for example, AT&T.
Please send any feedback and questions regarding this message, or any items you wish to share with your fellow coordinators directly to me.
Regards,
Rick Macias
