LA METRO 3RD THURSDAY UPDATED BLAST
We welcome those who want to be part of our Board of Directors.
WELCOME EVERYONE!!!
Who we are: California Employer Advisory Council is a professional group of employees and/or employers who provide support and collaboration with EDD to businesses and employees. This is a relationship that has provided input and information on state programs for 3 decades. EAC (Employer Advisory Council) is directly related/interact with local EDD offices, staff and programs.
What we offer: We offer 3-4 seminars during the year with topics that may interest you and other businesses.
Topics we cover: Worker's Compensation, Benefits, Unemployment Insurance,
COBRA, Wage and Benefit regulations, Leave of absences,
New and old Labor Market information and much more.
Note: Each year we conduct an annual seminar in which we have attorney's and other experts come and educate all of us on what is changing in the upcoming year and what parts of our business need to prepare for those changes.
(Normally this once a year seminar is conducted the 3rd week in October)
On October 28, 2010 we had our Annual Labor Law Update Seminar at Steven's Steak House in Commerce. We had approximately 100 participants and it was an educational event.
Our presenter this year was Robert Wenzel and Paul Fleck. Partners in the Cerritos Office of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo, which is one of the leading Labor and Employment in personnel and Labor Relations matters such as Sexual Harassment, Discrimination, Wrongful Termination, and Wage and Hour issues. All of these issues were discussed.
