The Santa Barbara Employer Advisory Council meets between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on the first Tuesday of the month.  The next meeting will be held on November 1, 2011 at the Santa Barbara City Hall.

The Santa Barbara Employer Advisory Council completed the scheduled employer seminar on November 17, 2011 at the Chase Palm Park Conference Room. Dan Cornet, the former Senior Deputy Labor Commissioner, State of California, Kristi D. Rothschild of Anticouni & Associates, APC, and Paul K. Wilcox, a partner with Mullen & Henzel L.L.P. jointly presented the topic on "Navigating the Exempt and Non-Exempt Maze: Practical Advice for Employers". Attendees representing the human resources function of many Santa Barbara area employers heard professional advice from these speakers for mitigating risks that can and do arise from the misclassification of employees.

The Santa Barbara Employer Advisory Council will hold its regular meeting between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at the Santa Barbara City Hall. Entrance to the meeting room is by Anacapa Street.
