- Attend seminars and workshops covering business-related issues
- Receive current information through CEAC and EAC monthly newsletters
Meetings
Breakfast meetings are held every month except May and December. Each monthly meeting includes a guest speaker and an excellent buffet breakfast. Speakers are experts on topics such as: Employment Tax, Disability Insurance, Unemployment Insurance, Worker's Compensation, equal employment opportunity, personnel administration and other business-related issues. Employers and/or their representatives are welcome to attend.
Are you a small business owner or HR manager needing answers to personnel, safety, labor law or other employment issue questions? Don't know what the inspection arm of CalOSHA does? Don't want to pay huge sums and travel all day to get this information? Then you should join the Merced County Employer Advisory Council. We're a group of local business owners and human resource professionals who work with the Employment Development Department to bring the experts to Merced with the information you want.
What will this cost you? Just $150 annual fee for all of the monthly meetings and seminars. We even include a full (not continental) breakfast. Or, you can come to the individual one-hour meetings for just $15 and/or the ½ day seminars for $40.
